In 2006, we started to develop 52 acres into an open canvas for contemporary art.
Goodbye white walls and artificial lights of a gallery…! Hello trees, sun, wind and occasional cows…Art ideas meet Mother Nature. A yearly art show, workshops and art projects are designed to create a community; people willing to share ideas, and energy; to actively participate; work hard and create.
Our goal is to create an oasis and sanctuary for art and nature. It is a constant “work in progress”. We hope Oakwilde will become a northern California destination point for artists and art fans; offering a place for contemplation and appreciation of open space.
